One of the best books I've read in a very long time. Deborah's story of her life is heart wrenching and most of all inspiring to realize she was just a kid! A kid who was born to the wrong family! An Angel that was sent to this family to take the test of survival. And that she did! Deborah over came many obstacles and is truly the Hero. A Hero for breaking the cycle, for protecting her boys and for sharing her story to the world. She shares peace and knowledge for other women in these same situations, that if she can overcome years of neglect and abuse, anyone can. May the angels who watched over you and protected you in your growing up years, be there for many years to come. Bless you `with lots of Love and Light. Cheers" Toni K |
“The power of the story; authentic, revealing at times in painful details, one can hardly remain indifferent to her journey of healing and empowerment. Ms. Kinisky invites the reader to accompany her on a path of self-discovery and to re-examine our own assumptions about the nature of love, family relationships, power-over and the essence of what is to be human. A courageous story, for courageous readers.” – Leo C If you like real life page turning stories than this is the book for you. A very wild truthfull graphic and soul bearing story. It takes a very strong person to bear their life stories to the world, especially stories of this nature but to see the strong beautiful person you can become after all of these horrible life events make you believe anything is possible and you can overcome anything." “Thy sins of thy mother or father are visited upon by thy son or daughter.” (Author unknown but I believe it is biblical) We all have burdens and hurts in our hearts. We have all have felt internal pain. Some people more than others. I am a great believer that in order to free ourselves from our internal pains we need to purge it from our souls. HerStory - Victim to Victorious is exactly just that, a very brave freeing of a tortured soul. The author shares with us an upbringing so twisted and unsafe that it is almost unimaginable that parents can be so interested in their own needs to disregard the emotional stability of their children. She shows us that although the wounds of the past are still there, healing can happen and happiness is achievable if we persist despite all odds." Donna G |
