Hello and welcome to my blog “Victorem Viventem” and to today’s installment of “Good Deed Saturday” AND "Fotografy Phriday" all rolled into one. To be honest with you, the reason that I am doing it this way is because somewhere along the way I have lost a day somewhere and thought that yesterday was Thursday…It was not J I’m going to chalk it up to what I like to call “Holiday Brain” where you physically go on holidays and when you get back part of your brain retention has been left at your vacation spot (lets be real, an everyday occurrence… not just holiday issue for me.)
I will start with “Good Deed Saturday” because without these ladies I would have been “bookmarkless” at my book launch and signing last weekend. so with that being said, I would like to thank fellow Author Bonita Lehmann for her charming guidance and the introduction to Alexandria and I would like to thank lovely Alexandria and the Team at Modern press, located in Edmonton, Alberta for the wonderful effort that went into the making my one of a kind bookmarks . The quick and efficient care that I received enabled me to have them in time so that I was able to present these beautiful creations at my book launch and signing on July 11, 2015. If you have any questions about designing your own business cards, bookmarks or other printing needs I would recommend giving this affordable company a call, you will not regret it. To view Bonita's website or Modern Press website, simply click on their names in the paragraph above.

On July 5, 2015, my husband Andy and I left for a road trip from our current home of Edmonton, Alberta through the picturesque landscape of Jasper, Alberta to a place that I called home 30 years ago and still holds a special place in my heart today, British Columbia. I spent a better part of my youth in and out of British Columbia and Alberta but the mountains always make me feel more…alive.
On the way there we stopped for lunch at a stunning little picnic spot at the Alberta/BC Border where I could not help but let my Canon blink relentlessly at the splendor of life that was surrounded us. After a delicious lunch and drinking up the tranquility of the moment, it was time to break the silence, so we cranked up the tunes and made our way up to the mountain top to Andy’s parents’ home. We spent a few days there and toured around the local country side with them checking out places that none of us had seen before, hell I would be surprised if many people have seen a few of these places…which is why I want to share them with you. We were taking back dirt roads and goat trails which allowed us to see some pretty amazing and visually unreal sights. I want you as a reader of my blog and appreciator or my fotos to know that I am not big on filters or “fixing” of fotos for the most part (some exceptions)…so essentially what you see is what WE saw at that second in time. We visited Farwell Canyon and travelled Spring Lake Road, checked out 108 mile Heritage Site and If you ever find yourself in 100 Mile House I strongly suggest that you go take a look at Centennial park…breathtaking.
We said our see you laters to Andy’s parents on July 10, 2015 and made our way onto the next leg of our journey, which was Quesnel, BC. I was full of anticipation and anxiety for this next adventure because it was a whole lot of events rolled into a couple of days. We spent our time there surrounded by love and laughter and memories of days gone by as we created new memories to cherish in years to come. Hugs and tears were shared as I felt my heart overflow beyond capacity while I reunited with my Debsi 2 and many other precious former (not old) friends (& loved ones) and family of mine and even some of my husbands’ former school mates (& loved ones). The love continued to flow at my official book launch and signing AND the 1985 (30 year) grad reunion in a matter of 2 whirlwind days which were both exhilarating and exhausting and LONG overdue. Unfortunately I was not able to reunite with everyone or spend as much time with certain folks that I had hoped to on this trip but I know where they live now and it’s a great reason for another road trip. To the special, loving people that I was able to reconnect with you know how I feel about you. Thank you from the bottom of my abundant heart to yours…you are loved and appreciated in this thing called life just as I am Proud, Blessed and Thankful.

I have but one simple message in life and all I want to do is share it…You need to love yourself so that others can love you to your full potential. If you love yourself you can accomplish things that you never dreamed all while emanating your inner beauty to the world. Love the beautiful reflection in the mirror, Victorem Viventem!
