“On July 17, 1992, my beautiful son Dominique Orlando Lyle Kinisky finally graced us with his presence after 42 hours of excruciating back, front and side labor, which is a typical thing for him to do as he is still late for everything, even today. This was by far the happiest day in my life thus far as I gazed into the eyes of the child I was told I may never have. He was perfect and he was mine.” I promised myself many years before having him that I would never treat him the way that I was treated. I would love him, respect him and support him unconditionally. I would consciously do the opposite of everything that I was ever taught to do by my parents.”
With this being said…I know that I was not always the perfect parent and that BOTH of my sons probably have taught me more along the way than I have ever taught them...but Thankfully I stood by this commitment and showered them with love enough to nurture their growth. I was Blessed beyond belief on that day and my admiration at his strength continues to grow every day as he turns 23 years old and lives half way across the world in another Country … I can easily say that I am so very Proud of him and wish there was another word that could truly describe my adoration for the man that he has become. HAPPY Birthday Dominique! Continue shining and rising to the top while showing the world what a superstar you are!
I have a request for my readers. If you are able to, Please hug your children tonight tell them that you love them and support them as I envision hugging my handsome son that lives so far away. Proud Blessed and Thankful
