“If you don’t ask, you don’t receive Let the universe work it out!”
This was a comment made by a girlfriend when I was talking about my Kickstarter campaign and how much I disliked requesting publicly for financial support. My body reacts negatively when I think about asking anyone in person as my throat tightens, my tongue ties and I get knots in my stomach although I know it’s necessary to succeed in life, the introvert always appears. Through this positive modality I’m able to use my passion for writing and editing to make my request without all of the physical displeasure and she was right, if you don’t ask, you don’t receive, and I'm letting the universe work it out
I’ve always been an independent woman who was a solitary parent for eighteen years working up to three jobs in order to successfully support my sons and it’s hard for me to ask for assistance yet here we are, and I’m asking. This goal is attainable but I can’t do it alone and I need your help in whatever capacity that is!
I’m so grateful for the support and encouragement that I’ve received so far and I hope for that positive incline to continue! I currently have eight days to fulfill my goal of $7500.00 to complete the publication, production and promotion of my memoir. My manuscript is in its final edit and I am on course with publication and confident that all reward commitments will be met on time.
I realize that the economy is in the toilet right now and some may scoff at my request for financial assistance but the world is a vast and generous place and I have faith. The dual powers of intention and the internet are all that I have available to fulfill my goal and I am blessed enough to be able to use them.
I learned about crowd funding from an acquaintance who’d used it successfully and she suggested that I give it a whirl. I’m more of a planner than whirler but I threw caution to the wind and hope in my heart as I filled out the required fields and this is what I created. The campaign is sixty days and is an “all or nothing deal.” If I don’t reach my goal, nothing happens and we all go along on our merry way and I search other avenues to complete my dream.
Each and all donations receive a new level of REWARDS that are gifted back as a personal thank you from me to you. $10.00 Pre orders an E-BOOK copy of the second edition so that you can read your investment on your tablet or phone and the benefits only get better. If you are unable to make a monetary donation to the publication and production and promotion of the second edition of my memoir then all I ask is that you share this blog into the right email boxes.
